This Revised Edition 2020 of the Layout-Design of Integrated Circuits Act 1999 takes into account amendments up to the "Courts (Civil and Criminal Justice) Reform Act 2021) (Act No. 25 of 2021)", which entered into force on different dates. Section 149 under Part 14 (Amendments to Other Acts) of the said amending Act No. 25 of 2021 introduced amendments (in force on 01/04/2022) to Sections 14(2), 15(a), 16(1)(a) and 21(1)(a) of this Revised Edition where the word “plaintiff” was deleted wherever it appeared in these provisions and replaced in each case with the word “claimant”.
