Law No. 20 of 2016 on Trademarks and Geographical Indications of Indonesia - En ver.
This Law concerns brands, geographical indication, trade and service marks and their definition and protection, with the aim of maintaining fair and healthy business competition; protecting consumers, enterprises and domestic industries.Divided into 109 articles, the Law provides for the following matters: terms and procedures for brand registration application and protection; application for trademark registration with priority rights; intellectual property rights; correction, repair and withdrawal of application; unregistered and rejected brands; creation of the Mark Appeal Commission; transfer of rights and licences; collective brand; international brand; definition and registration of geographical indications; origin indication; legal procedure and dispute resolution alternative; criminal provisions.
