Plant Breeders’ Rights Act of Canada - En ver.
The Plant Breeders' Rights Act of Canada provides legal protection to plant breeders for new plant varieties for up to 25 years for a variety of tree and vine, and 20 years for all other varieties. This consolidation is current to February 8, 2023. The last amendments came into force on June 17, 2019. Any amendments that were not in force as of February 8, 2023 are set out at the end of this document under the heading “Amendments Not in Force”.
